Amman Attacked

A birthday celebration last night turned into a night up with the television. Three hotels in Amman were attacked. My friends expressed anger. Feelings of sadness overwhelmed me; it has never been this personal. I had planned to attend a workshop in the Crown Plaza today and a conference in the Royal next Tuesday. I am only lucky, the only difference between me and the victims is that they were at the wrong place at the wrong time.

A wedding took place ii the RadissonSAS that evening. Approximately 60 casualties, and many wounded.

This morning AlQaeda in Iraq claimed responsibility for these attacks.
Find a different name for what you do; Islam is innocent of it.

Today I heard: "Imagine, going to a wedding party, and not coming back home!"

My thoughts about the incident are still unclear, a mixture of sadness and anger.

Thank you for you comments.

I do understand your anger, but please be mindful of your language.

God bless the victimes.

Now that terror has hit home, I hope we muslims realize that we have work to do, to restore the dignity of our religion.
