Eating off the floor
A few weeks ago, while waiting on the pizzas we had ordered at the main cafeteria in my university, I spotted something disturbing. In the back of the sandwich corner, one of the workers accidentally dropped a sandwich in progress, and spilled its contents on the floor. So I became curious of what was going to happen next! He was invisible to the sandwich customers, but from my angle I had a clear view.He started to scrape the content back into the sandwich in a bit of a hurry. When he was done, he looked around himself, and noticed me staring at him with anticipation. He then gave me a wave of apology, like the one we know from Amman’s traffic, and threw the sandwich into the bin.
I had good faith in him the whole time, but it was not entirely impossible that he would go for it. I can’t stop wondering: What was he apologizing for?!
I am no longer comfortable eating food I cannot watch while being prepared.

lol... he was about to sell it to customers! as a photographer you should've taken a picture of him ;) hehehe..
i think there should be some kind of monitoring on people working in restaurants to check out whether the food is clean or not!
Uni has taught me something related to food. If you wanna be picky, you aren't gonna eat.
I surely don't like to know my food has been on the floor, especially not on the floor of the uni's cafteria.
But, try to look at it from a different angle for a second.
How likely is it that that sandwich will cause me any health problems? I'd say, not very likely.
The problem is in knowing that it has been on the floor, not in the fact that it has been on the floor. It is a feeling.
So i'd say, instead of cleaning only from places where i can see the food being prepared, i'd just try to look less as the food is being prepared :D.
